Just got the most beautiful email from one of my Newborn portraits (on display in Thurles Shopping Centre) Mum

Dearest Sinéad,
What can I say, I saw the photo of my beautiful baby on display today & I am one proud mama.
The impact of seeing that photo evoked such emotion of the precious moments of when Cathal was born. I find it truly inspirational that through your many years of expertise you were able to tell our story through our eyes and heart. As a family we are so grateful that you managed to capture for us that special moment in time. But most importantly the emotion of it which is resonant of the way you connect with people. Nobody could have been as intuitive or professional.
Those photos will be treasured for years to come & take pride of place in the O’Reilly household.

I have seen things so beautiful they have brought tears to my eyes. Yet none of them can match the gracefulness and beauty of a horse running free.

Horses are different than people they never stop loving

“Time in a Frame” – Celebrating 20 years in Business Ni Riain Photography
February 2, 2013

2013
The mother of these teenagers has brought them in every 5 years over a 15 year period. When they walked into the studio in January 2013 I was taken aback at how grown up they had all got. Her beautiful daughter Erin was now taller than me! Her babies were teenagers. We reckoned the next time in 2018 the two boys would be 6ft’ers.

2002
These portraits were each taken 5 years apart and you realise babies and young toddlers are for a limited time only – suddenly they are teenagers and portraits are the reminders of those fleeting moments of time – “Time in a Frame”. Event Rider Chloe & her eventing horse Matinee
October 11, 2012

Event rider Chloe and her horse Matinee
Chloe’s Mum asked me to create these portraits of her daughter, an Event rider and her horse Matinee to mark their wonderful 5 year partnership. Matinee was moving to a new family that evening as Chloe is pursuing her College career. She wants to return to eventing once her studies are over. It was a beautiful evening with gorgeous light and we had lovely grounds around her home to use. I suggested to Chloe we use three different looks a fashion, casual, and Dressage formal. Chloe has a great sense of style and I loved her red dress. I have always loved a ‘frame within a frame’ in my images and the beautiful stone arch immediately caught my eye when I arrived.

Back lighting is my favourite light and I love the way the light catches the horses ears and catches Chloe’s blonde hair
