Family Portrait - Tipperary Hurling Fans studio portrait

As all Hurling Fans know Tipperary is the home of hurling. This was a great year for Tipperary with the Senior All Ireland Hurling Final title and the Under 21 All Ireland Hurling titles for 2010. I really enjoyed taking this family portrait of the Ryan family from Borrisoleigh. Dylan age 4, sitting on the gear bag, Danielle age 6 who is a camogie player and their big brothers Darragh & Dean.

Since I posted Sarah Janes wedding photos on my Ni Riain photography Facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=102872&id=90241045889&l=8b3236a559)its been the most talked about wedding dress.

Sarah-Jane & Michael Wedding photo Dromoland Castle

Sarah who is a barrister, has an original designer fashion eye with a vintage twist. I think it is what you would call “Sarah Jane style”. She took her inspiration from  an “Elie Saab” dress which she adored from his Diamonds are Forever couture collection 2008. Mairead Neill, from Shannon made it for SJ. I adored it plus it was so comfy for the day.

Sarah Jane playing the harp on her wedding day in Cratloe Church Co. Calre

Her shoes were Jimmy Choo from London.
Flowers- SJ hated lots of fuss and was determined to have simple flowers so her Mum & SJ came up with the idea. Thought they were very elegant. They were a simple Lily of the valley. Girl from Shannon did the flowers. People ruin Cratloe Church with so much fuss. Make up was by Naomh Kirwan who worked for Brown Sugar in Dublin but now is out on her own. Hair was Brenda Wall  from Shannon
Music -The fab harp playing was by the multi talented bride & Dolman String quartet.

Seniors / Leaving Cert Photography Exhibition

Ní Riain Photography  Seniors / Leaving Cert Photography Exhibition at Thurles Shopping Centre on Friday the 27th November 7.30pm. Mattie Ryan Chairman North Tipp Hospice officially opening the exhibition.

Sinead Ni Riain launched a brand new photography product to celebrate the Leaving Cert or “Senior” year in a students life. Local Leaving Certs participated in this exhibition.
Three different looks were created to represent the “unique” personality of each student illustrating their love of sport, music, fashion and other hobbies.
A poster print with a selection of images was specifically designed for each individual. Great fun was had while photographing groups of classmates.
Two of the images have already won for Sinéad Silver Crests with the Irish Professional Photographers Association Portrait awards

Welcome to my new website

Hi Sinead Ni Riain here and welcome to my newly launched website.

A  big thank you to Liam Chivers www.metronet.ie and his team who  redesigned it for me. Liam designed the original site in 2006 and I was thrilled with it. I t went on to win numerous international awards and my clients loved the site.

With the advent of Blackberry’s and I phones most people are accessing the web using these but a “Flash” styled website doesn’t work on this.

Also as I love social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter and soon to be launched Bebo. The new website will integrate all this for me.

Look forward to hearing your opinions.

Triona & Fearghal – Wedding @ Dromoland Castle -2nd May 2009

We had an amazing day with Triona Walsh & Fearghal Carroll at Dromoland Castle on the 2nd May last. The ceremony was beautiful, the bride was given away by her father Walter and the couple were married by Triona’s Parish priest of Cratloe, Fr. Liam Enright in the Cathedral of St. peter & Paul, Ennis Co. Clare. It was a gorgeous day, sunshine and perfect blue skies.

The reception was at Dromoland Castle, where we were spoilt for choice for locations to use.
